Hari ke-2 di Hallstatt, pagi2 lagi kami bangun dan kemas barang siap2 sebab tgh hari nnti akan bertolak ke Vienna. So, semua luggage minta pekerja hotel di bahagian registration tlg jagakan sebab nnti nak check out senang. Our brekafast that morning pun hnya bread dan coffee Cappucino sahaja..Di Hallstatt ada small bakery shop dan jual coffee.Itu ajelah yg kami boleh beli sebab tiada restaurant halal..Nasib baik stay sini smpai tgh hari je.Kalau tak, memang kebulur juga sbb mmg xbeli dan prepare ape2..huhu Roti pun pilih roti kosong sahaja sebab risau kalau ada Ham or Bacon. At first, plan utk dtg ke Hallstatt for one day trip je tapi bila fikir ada anak kecil mmg agak susah sikit sebab kesian nnti Humaira keletihan. Lagipun after this kami akan ke Vienna, so nak senang cerita terus je dari Hallstatt terus bertolak ke Vienna..Tak perlu nak patah balik ke Salzburg, dua kali keje nanti..

Like i have mentioned before in previous entry, Hallstatt is very popular among tourist as they have very magnificent view and amazing mountain and lake. Another thing which is make Hallstatt as a an attractive place to visit is 7000 years old Salt Mines. Back to 5000 years century, salt in Austria was very precious and they called it as White Gold. Therefore, it is recommended for you to spend 1-2 full days in Hallstatt instead of half day or 1 day trip..On the flip side, if you could spend only 1 day in Hallstatt, then you will have to make a tough choice between visiting the Ice Caves or the Salt Mines as both are about half day experience..Some traveler said, they prefer to visit Ice Caves over the Salt Mines as the Ice Caves are more little unique..A short cablecar ride, plus a 20 minutes walk brings you to the entrance to the ice cave. During the ride and the walk, spectacular views of Hallstatt and the lake can be seen. Unfortunately, we could not do those things as the Salt Mines and adjoining sights were closed on Nov-Mid April..So, i could suggest the best season to explore Hallstatt is during Summer..

Bye bye Hallstatt..Till we meet again..definitely will come here next time.. |
Finally, our vacation at Hallstatt has come to the end. After check out and take some photos, we took shutter van (provided by hotel-free of charges) to go to car park which is only 1 km from hotel. For your information, if you come to Hallstatt by car (rental car), there is no parking space for you inside the village. Therefore, you have to park the car outside the village (public car park) and shutter van will fetch and bring you inside the village at anytime..The only you have to pay is parking fee..A bit expensive actually to park the car here but what choice we have..hehe..So, our next destination was Vienna or Wien. Lets go....hehe---->>>

Salaam..I'm stranded into your blog here, may I ask you something? I have an intention to visit Hallstatt next week from Salzburg by train, and have a plan to ride the panorama funicular first in the morning. Do you know where should I get off the train? which one is best, Hallstatt Bahnhof or Obertraun? Terima kasih banyak...
ReplyDeletesalam...if you from salzburg, from Salzburg hauptbhanhof (Salzburg central station), take the train at platform 7 (double check at counter). That train will go to Vienna, so make sure you stop at Attnang-Puchheim station. From there, take another train to Hallstatt station. From Hallstatt station, take a small ferry to Hallstatt village. Obertraun, is preferable if you have a few big luggages or plan to stay more than 1 day in Hallstatt. Basically, if you travel alone (backpacker, no kids in group, no heavy lugggas) you can just stop at Hallstatt Station. From Obertraun to Hallstatt village around 4-5 km je.One day trip is enough for bujang trip..hehe
