Walking Tour at Munchen City (Munich Part II)

Walking Tour at Munich City

Day 2

Hari ke-2 kami di Munich more kepada kepada walking tour within Munich city since our target today just sight seeing in the city.Actually, in Munich or other Europe countries, if you plan to to do sight seeing activities within the city, the best and reliable way you can choose is by bus or tram. The reason is you will get to see more of city especially in Munich city, since they run above the ground while the U-Bahn and S-Bahn are underground. If you have public transport day ticket (MVV day ticket) or City Tour Day Card, you can get on and off any bus, tram, U-Bhan or S-Bhan, so the are just like a hop-on/hop-off tour. But, make sure you read my previous entry here about how to get these tickets before decide to get on any tram or bus..ehhe..
Since our hotel just near to the city and we also in good condition that day which is the weather is just nice to do walking tour activities, we were decided to not get on any tram or bus. Sometimes cold breezy which is sejuknya smpai ke tulang and sometimes sejuknya mcm duduk dalam bilik air cond..

underground U-Bahn at Karlsplatz.

At first ingtkan bangunan Parliment tapi rupanya bukan

Justizpalast (palace of Justice) that was built in 1897 in neo-baroque style while the New Justizpalast was constructed next to it in 1905 in neo-gothic style.

Humaira kesejukan dan mengantuk lagi agaknya..

From here, jalan depan sikit akan jumpa Karlplatz Square

Karlsplatz and Marienplatz

Although we could take the train and avoid the cold it was nice to walk from Karlsplatz to Marienplatz. It’s an almost straight 900 meters long pedestrian route which gets packed by locals and visitors day and night. There are numerous stores for those who want to go shopping but you can also find some important attractions on the way (St. Michaelskirche is the most important but also the cathedral on a side street) if you get bored while your other half gets excited with the shining Malls :)

Kalau musim panas ada big fountain kt sini. So kt sini akan ramai orang lepak2 keliling air pancut utk hilangkan panas

Karlstor gate di Karlsplatz Square

Karlsplatz is named after Charles Theodore (1724-1799) a prince Elector and Duke of Bavaria but the square is also known as Stachus, after the owner of a pub that was located here during 18th century

Marienplatz

Nak sampai ke Marienplatz ni tak susah pun. From Karlstor gate (Karlsplatz Square) tu, jalan terus je lebih kurang dlm 1.5 km then terus akan jumpa Marienplatz.Di Marienplatz ni, macam-macam walking tour yg kita boleh buat depends kepada tenaga dan masa masing2. And kami of course tidak buat semua tu sebab kebanyakkan building yg kami tngk ialah church2 lama. So, we just tngk dan ambil gambar drpd luar sahaja. Actually, Marienplatz was a market square since 1158 when people gathered here to shop but also to watch several medieval tournaments or executions. From here, we can see the Old Town Hall (Altest Rathaust) and the impressive New Town Hall (Neus Rathaus) which is popular among tourists for the clock with the figures that go round daily at 11.00, 12.00, 17.00. For those yang suka free walking tour and tak nak miss tempat2 menarik yang perlu diterokai di Marientplazt, you can check at this website BigBoyTravelMunich because its really helpful without any cost.

Munich Old Town Hall (Altest Rathaust) was built on 1470.

The building was destroyed in World War II. After the war, only the walls surrounding the inner courtyard were rebuilt to full height. The complex now houses the Ministry of the Interior.
The New Town Hall (Neus Rathaus) is a town hall at the northern part of Marienplatz in Munich, Bavaria.

It hosts the city government including the city council, offices of the mayors and part of the administration.

Mula dibina pada tahun 1867

Allianz Arena Stadium

Since kami keluar dr hotel pagi tadi tak breakfast dan lunch pun kami skip, jumpa je restaurant Nordsee terus kami masuk utk makan. Actually kami dh check di beberapa blog and they suggest to try the lobster here..Sebelum order tu kami tanya dulu pekerja kt sana sama ada they put cooking wine or not.Alhamdulillah diaorang ckp fish and chip memang tak de letak ape2 wine dan halal utk dimakan. And kalau kita still tak puas hati, tngk je diaorang masak sendiri sebab they just cook most of the dishes betul2 depan kaunter masuk..Sushi roll macam2 jenis pun ada dijual tapi yang dah siap dipack.

Stadium ni sngt famous among tourist sebab modern architecture building. This stadium actually easily reached by Metro. Bought some bread utk dinner di underground station on the way back to hotel..

Tulip only 1 euro sekuntum..bukan satu bungkus ye.huhu

Itulah saje aktiviti2 kami sehari berada di Munich.Tempat2 yang kami pergi within the city je..Actually Munich banyak lagi tempat2 menarik yg boleh dilawati tetapi, disebabkan kekangan masa, kami pergi tempat yg dekat2 saje. But, German sngt best utk dikunjungi dan germany people pun friendly and helpful. And next time insyaallah kalau ada rezeki dan peluang lg kami akan dtg lagi ke German but our next route ialah Schwangau.Ape yang best kat tempat ni ialah old castle sepert dalam Walt Disney punya cartoon..hehe..Menurut sumber yg dpercayai, Walt Disney punya castle tu asalnya inspirasi drpd Neuschwanstein Castle. Ini betul punya citer tau..hehe

Castle Neuschwanstein at Schwangau, Germany

So, itu saje utk entry hari ke-2 atau hari terakhir kami d Munich..Our next destinaton ialah Salzburg,Austria..yuhuu..Nak tahu ape aktviti kami di Salzburg, Austria, jangan lupa check my next entry tau..ahakssss...--->>From-munich-to-salzburg-austria
